The 6th Congrès Mondial Acadien (CMA 2019), World Congress of Acadians, opens on Saturday, August 10, 2019 and continues in both PEI and southeastern New Brunswick until the closing August 24. August 15 is one of the Congress activities, celebrating National Acadian Day in Dieppe, NB..
We wish to share with you our upcoming project: the Girouard, Giroir, Gerrior….2019 Reunion, Friday Aug. 16 and Saturday Aug.17
We have planned the following program for our reunion:
Friday Aug.16, 2019– (9am) Cap Pelé, New Brunswick – Registration and various activities (i.e. presentations, family beach day, opening ceremonies, evening wine and cheese and other activities to be announced.)
Saturday Aug.17, 2019 – (11 am) Prince Edward Island – The 2nd and last day of our Reunion will take place in three areas of PEI : starting in Miscouche, then Abram-Village and finally Summerside – all in the western part of PEI on the Northhumberland Strait side. All are about an hour and a half drive from Cap Pelé, New Brunswick.
This will be a perfect opportunity to know each other better and allow us to see cousins and distant cousins or find… extended family members, an ideal time for combining family reunion and vacation.
